AUTUMNWINTERSPRINGSUMMER by Hervé

Joshua "Hervé" Harvey takes a detour off the dancefloor to create a thoughtful mix of atmospheric electronica and field recordings, designed to mirror the passing of seasons.

A DJ and producer with as many pseudonyms as there are days of the week (Hervé, The Count of Monte Cristal, Voodoo Chilli, Speaker Junk, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers and Young Lovers at last count), Harvey first started making waves in the dance world with a string of memorable breakthrough hits from 2008.

At the heart of the mix sits the superb track Gold from Herve's new album The Art of Disappearing. With vocals from the underground Estonian musician, Maria Minerva, the track is a confident statement of intent from Hervé, whose new album also features guest vocals from Niki & the Dove and Seasfire.

Here is what Hervé had to say about his mix:

"I wanted this selection to compliment my new album so it's quite different to my previous mix albums and online mixes which have been more geared towards clubs and dancing.

"As dance music is about the body, this music is more intended for the mind. It's an infusion of influences and memories, from my past and present, and is inspired by the four seasons and nature."

The Art of Disappearing is released on March 3rd via Hervé's label, Cheap Thrills. You can also listen to the album now on soundcloud.
