LOOSE by Ryan Hemsworth

Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ryan Hemsworth is the best thing to come out of Canada since maple syrup. For his entry to our MIX SERIES, Ryan has created a chilled rap mix that brings together the music that has informed his unique brand of blurred-and-slurred beats.

A member of the imperious Wedidit collective – also home to Shlohmo, Groundislava, and RL Grime – Ryan has already amassed an impressive collection of his own productions and accomplished re-edits. His stunning Last Words EP has been on heavy rotation in the oki-ni office since its release.

"This mix is just about reaching the end of the week, unbuttoning everything and forgetting about important stuff for a little while", says Ryan. "The tracklist consists of just fun rap that has influenced my music/life in one way or another, the old stuff and the new."
