We are tremendously excited to kick of 2012 with one of the most exciting and innovative artists around, James Ferraro.

One thing you could never accuse James Ferraro of being is dull. A compelling underground artist who has been making music under a number of aliases since 2004, Ferraro broke cover last year with his much talked about album, Far Side Virtual, released on the vaunted LA label, Hippos In Tanks.

For his mix James has taken a typically offbeat approach, blending haunting operatic themes from the past with bass-heavy grime sounds of the present.  James told us that this hybrid mix was made from "some pieces off my cell phone currently / was bumping / used 2 be my ringtone / voice mail message etc." The result is a wilfully conflicting yet utterly compelling mix that could only have come from the mind, and phone, of James Ferraro.
