From Paris to Berlin – but not in that way – PARIDIZIAK is an aural journey through the musical and emotional life of the enigmatic Israeli, Chaim. Beginning with Phil Collins before meeting up with Kraftwerk, hangin' with Grandmaster Flash, and ending with Sinatra, this mix certainly is a trip.
Signed to one of the biggest labels in techno - Ellen Allien's Berlin powerhouse BPitch Control - and with a debut album set for release in February this year, Chaim is clearly a name to take note of.
His love of classic jacking Chicago jams, hypnotic synth hooks, and live instrumentation and vocal snippets permeate his music and feature in this eclectic mix, which he describes as 'a musical journey that travels through my emotional life, from the past to my hopes for the future'.
'New York is a starting point', he continues, 'although during your journey you might find yourself in Berlin, London or Tokyo, before you arrive at your destination, Paris – a constant source of inspiration for me'.
