oki-ni presents a reckless blend of retro-futuristic sounds, Italo disco and contemporary electronica, mixed by Italian Dj and sound designer, Bottin.
William Bottin makes music that only an Italian can make: his dj sets are an unpredictable journey into space disco, italo rarities, and deep funk. A reckless blend of retro-futuristic sounds and contemporary electronica that always sets the dance floor on fire.
"I went all over the place with this one, while getting ready for my London gig this coming weekend", says Botton.
"[The mix includes] proto-space-Italo (Change, Clio 1983, Isadora) together with very contemporary Italian disco (Rotary 76 and mysterious Italian trio BFR, whose demos I've been playing with great pleasure at all my dj gigs), then some brand new deep twisted grooves (Auser, Harkin, Esp). Topped up with some old-school Australian house (Severed Heads, 1988) and which should go down well on Nov 1st, while you're busy removing your vampire fangs after the mandatory halloween dress-up disco bash. The edit is an exclusive for this mix also and was previoulsy unreleased. Enjoy. "
