One of the most intriguing young British fashion designers currently working, Christopher Raeburn is fixated with the idea of re-appropriation. He utilises surplus military fabrics to re-create new pieces which pay homage to their roots in a uniquely contemporary way.
For the Remade in Switzerland collection, Christopher was approached by the iconic Swiss brand Victorinox. The challenge they set was to create a capsule collection of seven pieces that delved into their rich history including the brands most iconic creation: the Swiss Army knife.
After months spent researching, trawling through Swiss military surplus stores, and setting up a studio in the founder of Victorinox, Karl Elsener’s, house, Christopher was ready to answer this challenge. The result is a meticulously-crafted collection of intelligent and refined pieces that deconstruct original materials and styles and incorporated their core qualities into wholly-new creations, all Remade in Switzerland.
We are delighted to have this exceptional collection for sale on oki-ni. Each piece is a limited number of 100 and each style is a stunning success.
