Ikitabi

Parisian based designer Chikako Inoue has worked with the likes of Hanae Mori and Maison Martin Margiela before launching her own label in 1997. The most distinctive feature of Chikako's work is her unique blend of Japanese avant garde designs and classic French chic.

Initially designed for professional use, Ikitabi have been worn by Japanese carpenters for over 100 years. The split toe design, adjustable fastner system and flexible sole provide improved walking support and comfort.

Today Ikitabi have been reinvented by Trazita using traditional Japanese craftsmanship combined with modern fabrics in a range of contemporary shades.
