Based in London's Notting Hill Gate, Christine Bec is a company specialising in the design, development and production of accessories, in particular millinery.
Along with the dedication required for bespoke projects, Christine Bec has evolved her craft over the past decade through twice yearly collections, positioning her at the cutting edge of all that is desirable in millinery. A Master in Anglo-American literature as well as time spent at Central St Martins whilst learning millinery has shaped her perspective; the influence of her native Provence is also present behind her aesthetic approach. Prior to her own label Christine worked for The English Opera, Nantes Opera and Ossie Clarke.
Contemporary yet classical, versatile yet directional, Christine Bec is distributed worldwide. The actual making process involves sourcing, pattern cutting, dying, blocking and trimming by hand. A huge range of materials are used including straw, felt, tartan, cotton, leather, silk, cork, mohair....
