Although London Collections: Men is a distinctly British affair, much of the talk of day two centered around an American: Thom Browne. Like a reverse of the famous alarm call of the American Revolution, Brits dashed around outsides Harrods in a frenzy; the American's are coming!
In typically overblown style, Thom presented pieces from his spring/summer '13 collection on a customised Routemaster bus, as models paraded before the crowd in a slick and well-practiced routine. "Men should dress like bureaucrats or airline pilots" Thom has famously said, and this collection seemed to be mroe of the former, albeit bureaucrats on holiday. We were pleased to see more of his classic sharp suiting, this time in seersucker, accompanied by silver tie pins, signature cropped trousers, black Derby shoes, and, as a concession to his British hosts, umbrellas.
