“There is a well-honed and thought-out approach to all his work, both visual and musical, that I find incredibly inspiring”. Praise indeed from former MIX SERIES contributor Jacques Greene, discussing the emerging London producer Kit Grill.
Talking to Dummy last week, the Montreal artist praised Kit Grill’s restrained approach to music and design (read the full interview here). Further evidence of Kit Grill’s growing talent came this week when he released the appropriately cycling-themed video for his new track, ‘Veledrome’.
Art Directed by Kit himself and edited by Tal Amiran, the video is created from found footage with a faded 1970s charm. Reminiscent of Kraftwerk’s Tour de France, in both sound a theme, the pulsating electronic sounds mesh perfectly with the kinetic cycling footage.
A regular on NTS radio with one EP already under his belt, Kit Grill is now gearing up for his first full-length release, which will come out next month on GetMe! We can also exclusively announce that he is working on a contribution to our MIX SERIES, which is scheduled for release on November 22nd. We look forward to hearing more from this exciting and innovative artist.
