Passarella Death Squad - Those Are Sirens 12 inch Exclusive
Passarella Death Squad returns with their third single for Republic of Desire label, entitled ‘Those are Sirens’.
The original version opens with a dark, almost industrial soundscape of low end bass and mechanised hits laying the perfect groundwork for Emilie’s haunting vocal. This is classic Passarella through and through.
Sandwiched between the original and remix comes the Death Squad’s cover version of Striptease by Serge Gainsbourg, a dark tinged journey into surrender through hypnotic enticement.
And then on to the aforementioned remix provided by Portuguese duo and label mates Photonz. Here they strip ‘Those are Sirens’ to the bare bones and rebuild it in their own image with solid house rhythms and subtle interjected melodies.
