AT

'aT was created for a/w 09 to fill a gap in the market for oversized beanies made from high quality yarn - somewhere between the cheap polyblend found in high street shops and the very expensive hats found in designer collections.

A small factory was found in an area renowned for wool manfacturing. They had the expertise but no designs so samples were sent back and forth between 'aT headquarters and Italy until the perfect oversized slouchy beanie was created! The factory proposed the cable and rib knits and 'aT sat down with a Pantone book to choose the colours. There are some obvious blacks, greys and navys alongside some really strong colours such as the Kelly Green and Royal Purple.

The yarn is pure new wool - a material that combines really rich, deep colours with a soft, tactile feel. They are comfortable to wear and as they're pure wool they 'slouch' perfectly.
